Instructions for Microsoft Authenticator
The following instructions are for connecting your Microsoft 365 account to the Microsoft Authenticator app to securely connect to Pine-Richland’s RDS server.

Using a smartphone, you will need to download and install the app from the app store on your device. Search for Microsoft Authenticator. The icon pictured above is the correct app.
Adding the Authenticator to your Account - Smartphone
- On your school issued Chromebook or other device (not the phone you will be registering) in a web browser navigate to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
- Under “Security info” click on + Add sign-in method
- In the “Add a method” window choose “Authenticator app” in the dropdown and click Add
- If you haven’t downloaded the app, you will now be prompted to do so, then Next
- On your phone, if prompted, allow notifications.
- Add an account, and select "Work or school".
- Use the Authenticator app to scan the QR code and follow the prompts
Microsoft Account Issues
If it doesn't accept your @prrams.org email try changing the domain on your email to @pinerichland.org.
Example: 12FLastname34@pinerichland.org.
Switching to a New Smartphone
On your school issued Chromebook or other device (not the phone you will be registering) in a web browser navigate to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
Under “Security info”, click Delete beside "Microsoft Authenticator"
In the “Add a method” window choose “Authenticator app” in the dropdown and click Add
If you haven’t downloaded the app, you will now be prompted to do so, then Next
On your phone, if prompted, allow notifications.
Add an account, and select "Work or school".
Use the Authenticator app to scan the QR code and follow the prompts
