Multi-Factor Authentication
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an authentication method that requires the user to provide two or more verification factors to gain access to a resource. Securing email is important regardless of a user’s level of access, as use of any email address can be profitable for hackers to send ransomware and spam.
The integration of MFA in K-12 education has been a slow build, yet is now a high priority.. Our district and building administrators,as well as a handful of teachers, have been using MFA since 2019. It is now time to expand that usage to best protect our district.

*If you use Google for a personal email address it is a good idea to set up MFA, but first be sure to configure a recovery phone/email address before adding MFA to your personal account.
